Welcome Middle School Students!
A message from you lead teacher:
Hello Middle School Students, welcome to Harvest Preparatory Academy’s 2011/2012 middle school year. We are honored that you have committed to become a member of the HPA middle school educational team. Middle school years are considered crucial times for students as they pass from childhood into adolescence. HPA middle school program is considered just as crucial in helping students make that transition. Our aim is to prepare students to demonstrate competencies needed to succeed in a changing world by building on a commitment to excellence and innovation, by working in partnership with students, parents, school and community, and assuring a quality education for all students in a safe, nurturing environment. Instructional practices will place students at the center of the learning process with curriculum that is challenging, exploratory, integrative and relevant. Educators will use multiple learning and teaching approaches along with varied and ongoing assessments to advance learning and as well as measure it.
We hope that all students will have a great year, and we encourage you to begin to establish those attitudes and study habits which are so essential to your success in school. HPA is an outstanding school and we hope that you will have the spirit to do the things that will make it outstanding. Make academic progress your major goal, have high expectations for yourself, and convert every challenge into an opportunity!
